Palos Verdes Ride for Habitat for Humanity

On Saturday, April 16, 2013, the official Palos Verdes Ride for Habitat for Humanity announces its second annual charity bike ride to benefit Habitat for Greater Los Angeles.  As tradition, the first official destination ride of the Palos Verdes Peninsula will commence and finish at the luxury five star Terranea resort (www.Terranea.com) and will pass through Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills Estates.

“Our goal, as an organizing committee, is to bring local businesses, cycling enthusiasts, volunteers and sponsors together to make a positive contribution to the community and Habitat for Humanity, Greater Los Angeles” says Arnold Ng, the event chairman and also a volunteer Board member for Habitat.

A new course is being offered this year for “expert” riders, a 50 mile route that begins at 6:30 AM.  The returning 34 mile route for Intermediate to Advanced riders and the 17 mile route for Intermediate riders will begin at 7:30 and 8:45 respectively.  Each course offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in southern California, providing breathtaking views of the ocean and rolling hills.
