Palos Verdes Ride for Habitat for Humanity

On Saturday, April 16, 2013, the official Palos Verdes Ride for Habitat for Humanity announces its second annual charity bike ride to benefit Habitat for Greater Los Angeles.  As tradition, the first official destination ride of the Palos Verdes Peninsula will commence and finish at the luxury five star Terranea resort ( and will pass through Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills Estates.

“Our goal, as an organizing committee, is to bring local businesses, cycling enthusiasts, volunteers and sponsors together to make a positive contribution to the community and Habitat for Humanity, Greater Los Angeles” says Arnold Ng, the event chairman and also a volunteer Board member for Habitat.

A new course is being offered this year for “expert” riders, a 50 mile route that begins at 6:30 AM.  The returning 34 mile route for Intermediate to Advanced riders and the 17 mile route for Intermediate riders will begin at 7:30 and 8:45 respectively.  Each course offers some of the most beautiful landscapes in southern California, providing breathtaking views of the ocean and rolling hills.


Riders will have the opportunity to register their own custom webpage at and gain their own sponsors.  Enthusiasts can sign up to volunteer on the site and check out the Facebook page at   The Grand Prize reward for the highest individual fundraiser is a weekend stay at the Terranea resort for two in the much coveted Ocean View Suite.

A $65 early registration fee lasts until March 31st and includes entry to the race, rest stop refreshments, t-shirt, goodie bag, sag support, an opportunity drawing ticket for great prizes, and entry to the RELAXING post-celebration event that will boast music, food, more prizes and family friendly activities.  For your convenience, the registration fee is tax deductible.  All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
